All bird keepers and breeders can register their own birds in a complete database that can be accessed any time a bird is found.
You can register your bird simply by following this link ensuring that he or she can always be found no matter how far he strays form home.
Australian Bird Registry is completely free to use for all your advice help and bird care needs.
Due to the extremely large amount of both pet and aviary birds escaping, going missing and being stolen and the amount of owners not being able to be found and reunited with their bird, this site has been created for all bird owners from the household budgie owner to the breeders. The idea is in the long run to make things quicker and easier to find lost or stolen birds. This is all totally free service however there is a “Donation” button for anyone wishing to make a donation which will help in the running and upkeep of the website.
All bird owners can register their birds on our database that way any time in the future if you have the misfortune to lose your beloved pet bird or aviary bird and someone finds it all they will have to do is do a Google search using a description or leg band number. Leg bands are the best and most secure way of identifying your bird. However there are facilities you can put in a detailed description of your bird. These details are kept confidential but you do have the option on how much you make public. We suggest you make the very basic available to the public to prevent someone trying to claim what is not theirs as well as theft. It is an excellent idea to make the leg ring number available to the public, so if your bird is found, the finder only has to type in the code on the ring of the bird they have found and if it is yours, whatever details you have chosen to make public will pop up. If you choose not to make any of your contact details available to the public that is ok as a message will come up to say yes we know who owns the bird and the finder can then contact us and we in turn will contact the owner so they can be reunited with their beloved bird.
We also have Birds, Lost & Found page where you can post your lost or a found bird notice for the public to see to give you the best and most exposure increasing the chances of finding your bird, although this may not always be the case as we all know nothing is fool proof.
We have also created a page for Birds Buy, Sell, Wanted & Swap where you can advertise your birds for sale, swap and wanted to buy. Once again all these services are FREE of charge for everyone to use.
We hope you all enjoy this site and please feel free to send any feedback you may have
